Gloc-9′s ‘Sirena’ tackles Gay Issues

Gloc-9′s latest single “Sirena” talks about gay issues, It shows a story of a young responsible gay man. “Sirena” music video was released last August 14, 2012 in Youtube by Universal Records.

Sirena” is part of Gloc-9 newest album from Universal Records entitled “MKNM: Mga Kwento Ng Makata.” He said it took him six months to work with the album. He collaborated with Philippines biggest names in the music industry like Chito Miranda, Bamboo, Ebe Dancel, Jay Durias, Billy Crawford, Maychelle Baay of Moonstar 88.

According to Gloc-9 MKNM: Mga Kwento Ng Makata album is contains various stories from people from all walks of his life.

He said that “Sirena” is the first time a gay man is presented in a first person’s point of view.  ”I worked very hard on this song for it not to be offending to anyone,” he explained.

“Sirena” music video showed gay men who is successful on their chosen fields like TV personality and host Boy Abunda, interior designer Momoi Supe, stage director and actor Tuxqs Rutaquito, “Zsazsa Zaturnnah” creator Carlo Vergara, writer and HIV advocate Wanggo Gallaga, conservator and curator Ricky Francisco, “Ladlad” partylist members Danton Remoto, Bemz Benedicto, and Raymond Alikpala.

This August 17, 2012 Gloc-9 will be having his official album launch MKNM: Mga Kwento Ng Makata in Eastwood City, Central Plaza.
